Obituary of John C. Estes
John C. Estes, 88, went to sing with the Heavenly choir on Wednesday April 4, 2012. He was the son of the late Ham and Delia Ashe Estes. John was born September 28, 1923 in Jackson County. John C. was a veteran of the US Army serving in World War II. He worked as a logger and retired from Buster Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife Geneva Hall Estes who died in 2003, Brothers Thomas, Claude and Dealous and sisters Nina Childers, Ann McMahan, Effie Brooks and Margaret Hall.
Survivors include five daughters Brenda Moore, Elaine Estes, Loueva and husband Roger Stewman, Kathy Buchanan and fianc Danny Doak and Renee' and Husband David Toby Moore. Nine Grandchildren sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a sister Lula Morgan of Fletcher
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday April 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Roger Stewman and Rev, Mike Farmer officiating. Burial will be in the Estes Family Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Pall bears will be Jeremy Moore, Justin Steele, Rusty Stewman, Jeremy Stewart Josh Hall and Matthew Moore
