Obituary of Barbara Jean Brown

BJ Brown, former owner of BJ’s Antiques, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 in Louisiana. She was married to her husband John W. Brown. BJ was proud of being a former Police Officer, EMT and working on the Fire Department. She loved her family dearly and would always put them first no matter what the situation.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter, Tammy Smitley; two sons, Warren Brown and wife Gracie and Robbie Smitley and wife Michelle; seven grandchildren, Katie and husband Jessie, Amanda and husband Abraham, Robbie, Cassie, Jacob, Jenna and Jasmine; three great-grandchildren Tommi-Lynn, Leland and Hayden.

She was preceded in death by one son Richard Brown and one daughter Kimberly Smitley.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Campground Cemetery.
