Obituary of Robert Douglas Kelley III

Robert Douglas “Bobby” Kelley, III, age 49, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Embrace Hospice House of Myrtle Beach, SC., following a brief illness. He was the son of Bob and Jeannie Kelley of Sylva.

He was a member and deacon at The Little Chapel By The Sea in Cherry Grove Beach, SC. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Kelley Properties and North Myrtle Beach Hotels, Inc. Bobby loved to travel, and he dearly loved his family.    

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son; David, one sister; Kristian Baucom and one brother; Michael (Robin) Kelley of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by two special nieces; Avery and Taylor, two special nephews; Brooks and Drayton and several aunts, uncles and cousins.   

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Lovedale Baptist Church with Revs. Eddie Dietz, Mike Farmer and Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Appalachian Funeral Services from 5:30 until 8:00 pm.
