Obituary of Carley Joann Queen
Carley C. Queen, age 79, of Sylva went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 6, 2018. She was the wife of Clemmey Queen and the daughter of the late Mills and Revaj Champion.
Carley was a member of Speedwell Baptist Church and loved her church. She also dearly loved her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one granddaughter; Mariah Queen and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Clemmey Queen, one son; Greg (Angela) Queen and one daughter; Paula (Jamie) Gregg. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Corey and Cole Buchanan and Meredith and Hope Queen, one great granddaughter; Bristol Buchanan and one sister; Pat Lippard.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church of Sylva. Revs. Mike Moore and Gerald Morris will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service.
