Obituary of Carolyne Anne Moses

Carolyne Anne Moses, 42, left this world on Sunday, October 14th. She was born on April 13th, 1976 in Jackson County. She was the daughter of Dwight Moses and her Daddy David and Mama Carrie Gates. Carolyne graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Sociology. She has worked at Webster Enterprises and the American Cancer Society. She also had her dream job as a dog groomer working at Snips, Dips, and Bows with her friend and mentor, Kathy Mathis. Carolyne is survived by her wife, Manuela Green and two children, Steven and his wife Rebekah Robertson, and Erica Green. She is also survived by two grandchildren, James and Jenna. Also surviving are her parents and two sisters, Sarah and her husband Mark Gascoine, and Ashley Gates and her fiancé, Bradley Tull. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews; Victoria, Justyce, Jeffery, Maria, and Sterling. She is also survived by her Granny, Reba Harris of Rosman, and Granny Ellen Gates of Sylva, plus uncle Billy Harris of Pisgah Forest. Carolyne was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bill Harris. Carolyne loved spending time with her family. She also loved hiking, camping, kayaking, and spending time with her Maltese, Dexter. She loved to laugh and making others laugh. Her happiness was infectious, and she brought joy to everyone she met. She was much loved and will be terribly missed. A visitation in the memory of Carolyne will be held Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services.
