Obituary of Helen Ruth Jamison

Helen Ruth Jamison, 88, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, October 23, 2018. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Ernest Sr. and Altha Beasley Jamison. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church; she loved to read and crotchet and worked as a cashier at a grocery store. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers; Ernest Jamison Jr. and Vernon Jamison as well as her sisters; Georgia Buchanan, Dorothy Deitz and Jean Jamison. She is survived by a brother- Harold Jamison of Sylva And her sister- Betty Fisher of Sylva Several nieces and nephews also survive Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 27 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Steve Jamison officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
