Obituary of JL Anders

JL Anders, 80, of Horse Shoe, NC, formerly of Jackson County, passed away Wednesday November 7, 2018 at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, NC. A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Rose Mathis Anders. He loved bluegrass music and in his early years he got to play with Charlie Pride, Eddie Rabbit and Ferlin Husky. He also enjoyed going fishing and Nascar. He was of the Baptist faith and was a good Christian man. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Delores Anders, his sister; Ruth Barger, and his brothers; Hayes, Asbul, Cline and Arnold Anders. He is survived by; Sons- Jimmy (Donna) Anders of Fairview, NC Steven (Shelley) Anders of Pendergrass, GA Brian Anders of St. Petersburg, Fla Daughter- Patty Anders of Horse Shoe, NC Grandchildren- Brett, Laura, Kristen, Christian, Jason and Jessica 4 Great Grandchildren Sisters- Sue Cyphers of Cullowhee and Shirley Meier of Etowah, NC Brothers- RV Anders of Goldston, NC, Vernon Anders of Tuckasegee and Dwight Anders of Brevard Special Niece- Betty Giles As well as several nieces and nephews also survive Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday November 10, 2018 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Tim Massingale officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodring Cemetery. .
