Obituary of William Bennett

William "June" Bennett, Jr., 86, of Cullowhee, went home to be with the Lord, Friday November 23, 2018. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late William and Sarah Jane Bennett. He worked at Hennessee Lumber for over 18 years and he loved gardening, woodworking and building things with his own hands. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his four brothers; Roy, Ralph, Leamon and John, as well as his two sisters; Ann Carter and Stella Mae. He is survived by his 3 daughters- Brenda (Bobby) Henkel of Tuckasegee Connie Britton of Carrollton, GA Vicki Hefner of Cullowhee 2 Sons- William Lee Bennett of Cullowhee Phillip (Elaine) Bennett of Whittier, NC 12 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren 2 Sisters- Edith Bennett of Cullowhee Carolyn Woolvin of Virginia Beach, VA Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday November 27, 2018, in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Eddie Stillwell and Earl Holden officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday, November 26 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hooper Cemetery. .
