Obituary of Barbara Ann Stephens

Barbara Ann Stephens, 85, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday December 2, 2018. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the last surviving child of Tom and Florence Arrwood. On December 2, 1954, Barbara married J.D. Stephens. In addition to her husband she is also survived by her daughter, Rhonda Stephens (Bill Lockman) of Sylva, son Kirk Stephens of Webster, and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for over 40 years. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening December 4 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday December 5, 2018 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Tommy Ashe officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. .
