Obituary of Roger Dale Robinson

Roger Dale Robinson, age 67, of Tuckaseege, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 8, 2018. He was the husband of Teresa Jones Robinson and the son of the late Julius and Annie Robinson. Roger was a member of Promised Land Baptist Church. He was retired as a driller in the construction industry. He loved camping, Nascar, fishing and especially "porch-sitting." He dearly loved his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 36 years; Teresa Jones Robinson and four children; Bryan (Stephanie) Robinson of Franklin, NC, Hope Messer (Jason Manos) of Tuckasegee, NC and Todd and Darren Robinson of Sylva, NC. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Holden Robinson, Hunter Messer, Jonathan Manos and Megan Manos. Five additional grandchildren, one great grandchild and one sister; Shirley Tennent also survive. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 3:30 pm at Promised Land Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Bryson officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodring Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Appalachian Funeral Services of Sylva from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
