Obituary of Nancy Melinda Powell

Nancy "Linda" Powell, 67, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday December 19, 2018. Raised in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late William Lee and Rosa Lee Bowers. Linda attended Tilley Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed cross stitching, sewing and Books! In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a sister; Colleen. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Narviel Powell Son- Ben (Cathy) Powell of Whittier Grandson- Camren Brothers- Ernest Bowers of Salem, SC, John Bowers of Central, SC, Jackie Bowers of Salem, SC, Bobby Bowers of Maryland, Frankie Bowers of Cullowhee and Nelson Bowers of Sylva Sister- Pam Mace of Tuckasegee Numerous nieces and nephews also survive A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 pm Saturday December 22 at Tilley Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Caleb Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the Service at the Church.
