Obituary of Clyde Mack Kinsland

Clyde Mack Kinsland, age 84, of Tuckaseege, formerly of Macon County, passed away peacefully on December 31st, 2018 at the VA Hospital Hospice Unit in Asheville, NC.

He was the youngest son of the late Tom and Gertrude Crawford Kinsland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife; Mildred Morgan Kinsland and three brothers; Thomas, Grady and Fred.

He served in the US Army, stationed in Germany. He later owned and operated Franklin Automotive Supply for many years.

He is survived by his wife: Cheryl Prince Kinsland, one daughter; Jan (Tommy) Curtis of Franklin, NC, one stepson; Sheridan (Julie Ann) Reed of Greensboro, NC and four grandchildren; Hannah, Haley, Jonathan and Joshua Reed.

Funeral services will be held on January 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Watauga Baptist Church in Franklin, NC. Rev. Wesley Price and Sheridan Reed will officiate. Burial will be in the Watauga Baptist Church cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Sheridan, Jonathan and Joshua Reed along with Tommy Curtis, Tom Kinsland and Ken Ashe.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to the charity of your choice.
