My condolences to Anita's family and friends. I was one of her students at WCU. I enjoyed having her as my instructor, then later enjoyed her company when we went together to Europe in 2005. I miss her, but at least I have a lot of good memories.

I’ll surely miss Ms. Oser, I started delivering her bottled water a few years ago & would always make sure I had time to hang out. She was such a kind person & extremely knowledgeable. She discovered we were both only children so we always had a common connection. She would always remember my birthday & made sure she had a card. She always wanted to know what was going on in my life & would tell stories of her younger years traveling to me! I’d always smile pulling up her drive seeing the garage open in wait for me. I was so sad today when I pulled up to find a locked gate & closed garage. I knew something wasn’t right at all. Such an awesome lady!!

We moved next door to Anita in 2013. Working at WCU and with parents from Germany, we had an immediate connection. Libraries and Germany were very important topics for Anita.
With so many changes occurring on our little street – a new apartment complex being built nearby, our malfunctioning community well, power outages and other utility issues, we became fast friends commiserating about what else could go wrong.
On a happier note, we enjoyed dinners together at Kostas and parties in our home. Anita was quite a baker too, making delicious cakes for several gatherings.
We enjoyed talking about our beloved pets, remodeled kitchens and vacations around the world.
Anita is already very much missed and no one could ever take her place.
