Obituary of Lois Ann Ensley

Lois Ensley, 85, of Sylva, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, March 10, 2019. Lois was born in Jackson County on March 4, 1934. She graduated from Sylva High School. Lois was very active in her church, East Sylva Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for the Joy Class for many years, and was also very active in the choir, WMU and was involved in missions. She also loved to read and to work outside with her beautiful plants and flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Dennis. She is survived by her 3 children; Her daughter- Donna Anderson (Robert), their children Robert and his son Austin, Eric (Teresa) and their children Juliana and Ryan Her daughter- Kathy A. Ensley and her sons Chris Mahoney (Katie) and their children Mallorie and Elise, Zachary Djimas (Eleene Murphy), and their sons Devon and Dylan Her son- Randy Ensley (JoAnn) and their son Jonathan (Amber), their daughter Elizabeth and their daughter Chelsey Ensley and her daughter Chloe. Lois will be remembered for her loving and caring spirit. She was the Greatest Mom, "Nana", Aunt, Sister and friend you could ever have. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday March 16, 2019 at East Sylva Baptist Church with the Revs. Reed Benson and Charles Dean officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 till 2:00 prior to the Service at the Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to East Sylva Baptist Church. 61 Faith Ave, Sylva, NC 28779. .
