Obituary of Bessie Mae Conner

Bessie Conner, age 72, of Glenville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of James Ray Conner and the daughter of the late J.C. and Ella Mae Franks.

Bessie dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed WordSearch, watching the birds and squirrels and also the raccoons at night.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years; James Ray Conner, three daughters; Patricia (Jack) Mincey, Maggie (Steve) Pegg and Theresa (Allen) Newman, seven grandchildren; Jared Mincey, Jonathan (Miranda) Logan, Suzanne Logan, James David (Tammy) Logan, LeAnn Bryson, Conner Newman and Hampton Newman along with 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother; Jessie Franks, four sisters; Lois (David) Owen, June Aiken, Lib Mitchell and Janet (Donnie) Ledford along with several nieces and nephews.     

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 3:00 pm at the Hamburg Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamburg Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the church.
