Obituary of John Hugh Moss

John H. Moss, 74, of Yellow Mountain, passed away Friday April 5, 2019. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was a member of Yellow Mountain Baptist Church. John had the biggest heart; he loved his family and home, just as much as he loved being outdoors fishing to just sitting on his porch listening to the radio. A good ol country man, with a mindset of a strong worker to provide for his family and friends, his kindness cannot be matched. There are not enough words to describe how much he will be missed. Jokes and his playful manner to stories to guide us all with unique memories we will cherish forever. He was preceded in death by his mother Dolly Moss. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Diane Bryson Moss Daughter- Ada Jane Shipley (David) of Yellow Mountain 3 Grandchildren- Heather Newman, Desire' Newman (James), Christopher Shipley (Milla) 5 Great Grandchildren 2 Sisters- Jessie Holland of Mill Creek Brenda Henry of Franklin Brother- Vance Jennings (Shirley) of Franklin A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday April 13 at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Norris officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm prior to the Service at the Church .
