Obituary of Elaine Ruth Case

Elaine R. Case, 69 of Sylva, N.C., formerly of Ft. Myers, Fl., born in Defiance, Ohio, went to be with Jesus on Monday, April 8, 2019. Elaine was a very gifted lady with her own writings of poetry. She always made it so personal and meaningful because she wrote from her heart. She adored her children, Tom & Angie; her grandchildren & great-grandchildren & they loved and admired her as well. She was kind and beautiful inside and out. Her smile could light up any room. Her family and friends will love and miss her throughout Eternity. Elaine was preceded in death by her niece, Dawn Schafer; grandson, Matthew Horn; granddaughter, Crystal Lanningham; nephews, Stanley Brown & Joshua Williams; Father & Mother, Vincent & Mildred Schafer; Daughter, Angela Scott; Sister, Carol Kelley. Elaine is survived by her loving Husband of 45 wonderful years, Timothy Case; Son, Thomas Horn & his wife Lori; 7 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; 4 Sisters, Patricia Brown, Diana Horn, Sandi Burns, Kim Williams; 2 Brothers, Jack & Larry Schafer; a multitude of Nieces & Nephews, Greats & Great-Greats. A sincere heartfelt "Thank you" to everyone for the outpouring of Prayers, Love, Compassion & Condolences during our time of grief. A Memorial Service will be held at Victory Baptist Church, 278 Victory Church Rd., Sylva, N.C. 28779, on Monday April 15, 2019 at 3:00 PM
