Obituary of Gretta Donna Buchanan

Greta Donna Buchanan, 51, of Whittier, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019. Born March 16, 1968 in Sylva, NC, she was the daughter of Charles Gorden "Chubb" Buchanan of Whittier and the late Martha Jane Nations Buchanan. Greta loved her cats and flowers and enjoyed shopping, spending time with her son, father and family. She was a true "caregiver". Besides her mother she was also preceded in death by her grandparents; Gudger and Viola Buchanan, Odell and Lottie Nations as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father she is survived by; Her son- Nathan C. Buchanan of Whittier Sister- Gloria Reddish (James) of Whittier Brothers- Dale Buchanan (Susan) of Sylva Dean Buchanan (Linda) of Whittier Nephews- Drew, Clay, and Jared Buchanan Nieces- Keri and Kristen Buchanan, Karen Reddish Aunts/Uncles- Lowell (Linda) Buchanan, Ronald Buchanan, Wanda Brooks, Barbara Cabe, Stella Cabe Wike, Sue Jones (Ronnie), Linda Gass (Leslie), Melvin Lovedahl, Fred Nations and Iris Nations. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday April 30 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greens Creek Cemetery Pallbearers will be Keith Nations, Jeff Cabe, Donnie Gass, Steve Brooks, Keith Brooks and Tony Brown
