Obituary of Jessie Coggins Hooper

Jessie Coggins Hooper, 89, of Tuckasegee, passed away Monday morning, May 6, 2019. Jessie was the daughter of the late Eulas and Iva Bryson Coggins. She was a member of Tuckasegee Baptist Church and was an avid gardener. She retired from the U.S.Postal Service. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Harold L. Hooper and her siblings; Eugene, Furman, Barbara Coggins and Bedford Bryson She is survived by; Her son- Wilford "Buck" Stewart (Gaye) of Tuckasegee and her daughter- Gwen Hooper of Sylva 3 Grandsons- Brent, Grant and Matthew Stewart 7 Great Grandchildren 2 Sisters- Hazel Henderson and Jeanette Childers Brother- Norman Coggins Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday May 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with her grandson; Rev. Brent Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Tuckasegee Baptist Church Cemetery.
