Obituary of Juanita Ivalee Payne

Juanita Beasley Payne, 95, of Robbinsville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 4, 2019. She was a native of Jackson County. She lived in several states and in six different counties of North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Minnie Guffey Beasley, and the wife of the late Reverend R. Earl Payne who died January 7, 1996.

She attended Western Carolina University and was a graduate of South Western Seminary in Religious Education and Childhood Education in Fort Worth, Texas.

She is survived by; 

Daughter and her husband, Teresa Lynn and Russel W. Moody of Robbinsville

Son- Robert Allen Payne, of Minneapolis, Minnesota,

Two grandchildren, Victoria Lynn Moody and Koda Wayne Moody

Sister- Amy Hoyle of Sylva,

and many nieces and nephews also survive

She was very active in all facets of the church for many years. She was a substitute teacher in Transylvania and Buncombe county schools. She also worked at Young Generations in Hendersonville for 13 years while living in Brevard.

Funeral Services will be held 5:00 PM Thursday June 6, 2019 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Charles Dean officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Committal Services will be private.
