Obituary of Charlie "Gadget" Woodring

Charlie "Gadget" Woodring, 63, of Sylva, passed away Friday June 7, 2019. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late John and Rosa Woodring. Charlie attended Old Savannah Baptist Church. He loved working on cars, fishing and riding his motorcycle, "got to go do the Dragon". In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by an infant son; Charles Woodring Jr., and by his brothers; JR and Larry. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years Teresa Daughters- Brianna, Charley, Natalie and Bunky 5 Grandchildren- Saphira, Mason, Kyler, Cooper and Jaxson Brother- Willie Woodring of Sylva Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive A Graveside Service will be held around 3:30 pm Thursday June 13, 2019 at Woodring Cemetery officiated by Austin Frady. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm prior to the Service at Appalachian Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to Appalachian Funeral Services to help the family offset the cost of the services. .
