My words cannot express how sorry I was to learn of Mr. Powell's passing. He meant the world to me and I have nothing but fond memories of him. I sit here looking at my three legged stool that I built in shop class at Decatur High School in 1966. I still remember Mr. Powell saying, "Freddy, only you would make a stool with three legs. No one in their right mind would build a stool with three legs". My life was made better by Mr. Powell and I am grateful for the time I had with him.
We pray for Bill's family and friends, that you all find comfort in remembering his life and legacy, and have peace in knowing that he is safe in God's memory (John 5:28-29).
