The funeral dtrocier will be able to advise you on guestbooks and such. I have had to make arrangements for a number of loved ones that have passed away. Personally, I believe that most funerals are for the living, not the dead. They give people a chance to reflect and mourn while being able to lean on each other for support. While this is so often necessary, I believe a funeral or memorial service should be a celebration of the deceased's life. I have seen powerpoint presentations of photographs of the deceased enjoying life. To see fond memories made me grateful for the time we had together, and brought a warm smile to my heart in the saddest of times. Often, friends and relatives had addressed the mourners, retelling favorite stories, or even a favorite joke of their loved one.Ask yourself, What would he want? A fun loving man such as you describe would possibly be best memorialized in joy, rather than in grief.

Blaine was a fellow musician, musical instrument collector and friend. He and Susan were on the Jackson County Arts Council. He had one of the most welcoming smiles of anyone you will know. A kind and gentle soul who was always curious about life and all it had to offer. He fought hard to hang onto the very life he cherished. I loved to try and match wits with him. Just a wonderful soul to know and be around. Blessings to Amanda & Fitz in their loss.

You will be hard pressed to find a welcoming smile like that of Blaine Eldridge. Blaine was one of my cherished musical instrument collectors and musician friends along with being a fellow artist and Jackson County Arts Council member with my wife Susan. I always had a lot of fun kidding around with him and trying to match his sharp wit. We will truly miss him and his ever so kind soul. Blessings to Amanda and Fitz in their loss.

Blaine was a fellow musician, a person who appreciated the joy that music brings. He also enjoyed many other fine things in life. Farewell, my Friend - Godspeed - I'll see you again some day and we will sit down and have fun just pickin' together!

Blaine will be sorely missed by his friends and family. Because of the way Blaine lived his life their thoughts of him will be fond memories of what and who he was. He gave much to his community, students and family.

My Dad was an amazing Dad. I never doubted his love for me or my mother. His joy in life was evident in the way he fought for it in his last years. His love for people, well, it was his greatest asset. I will miss him for the rest of my life.

Blaine was a very congenial man -- and a very talented artist. I'm proud of the glass piece that I bought back in the 70s. Fitzallen, you're in my best thoughts!

So many memories, dear friend. The two we remember the most are the time you found our Augie Dog stumbled into Ron's covered pool, you jumped in and saved him! Bless You! The other time was at a Fourth of July Celebration at Ron's when the fire works went wrong, we never saw a great man run that fast for the children in harms way. By the way don't forget to tell the Angels about the Itty Bitty Nuns! N027
