Obituary of William Clifton Sutton

William Clifton Sutton, 80, went home to be with his Lord, Friday evening June 22, 2012 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late General Jackson and Eva Estes Sutton. A Devout member of Jarrett Memorial Baptist Church he was a meat cutter by trade for over 30 years. He was a U.S.Army Veteran who loved to hunt, fish and tend to his garden. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister. Thelma Roberts. He is survived by his wife of 60 years- Hermie Sutton 3 Daughters- Vickie Webster and her husband John of Sumter, SC Donna Monks of New Jersey Tammy Lynn Sutton of Dillsboro 1 Son- Tony Sutton and his wife Inga of Dillsboro 3 Grandchildren- Courtney and Aaron Webster, Madyson Sutton Sisters- Clara Stern of Sylva, Ann Lightner of Ocala, Fla., Jean Bertoni of Clifton, VA Brothers- James Sutton of Columbia, SC and Andy Sutton of Sylva A Devoted husband, Father and grandfather, he will be missed by all his family and friends alike. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday June 25, 2012 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Cory Boone officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 :00 PM Sunday evening at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Savannah Cemetery.
