Obituary of Glenna Buchanan

Glenna Kay Buchanan, 72, of Sylva went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 5, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Thomas Robert (Rouge) Buchanan and the daughter of the late Glenn Davis and the late Leona (Riley) Birchfield. 

She was retired as the assistant director of the Tuckaseigee Water and Sewer Authority. Glenna Kay was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church and she dearly loved her family, especially her great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter; Emma Marie Buchanan and one brother; Lewis Davis. 

Glenna Kay is survived by one daughter; Tammy (Homer) Williams and one son; Bobby (Becky) Buchanan. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Taylor (Tiffany) Williams, Katelynn Hedden, Kelsey Buchanan, Cole Buchanan and Kaylee Hedden and three great grandchildren; Lovanna Williams, Anna Rattler and Emily Rattler. 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2:30 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva. Rev. Eddie Stillwell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
