Obituary of Ruby Rice Talley

Ruby Rice Talley, 81, of Cashiers, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 26, 2019. She was the wife of the late Richard Talley and the daughter of the late Chris and Estelle Rice. 

She was a member of Heady Mountain Baptist Church. She loved to work word puzzles, reading and crocheting. She dearly loved her family and loved watching movies and taking care of her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister; Christine Bell and three brothers; Verner, Troy and Carroll Rice.

Ruby is survived by one brother; Loyde (Meritta) Rice, one sister; Donna (Bill) Conner along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11:00 am at Heady Mountain Baptist Church. Revs. Johnny Norris and Josh Holden will officiate. Burial will follow in the Upper Zachary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Heady Mountain Baptist Church. At other times, the family will also speak with friends at the home of Denise Ballentine at 25 Jingle Bell Dr. in Cashiers.
