Obituary of Carl Waldon Sparks

Carl Sparks, age 80, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. He was the husband of Sadie Sparks and the son of the late Q.P. and Ruth Sparks. 

He was a member of East Fork Baptist Church. Carl dearly loved his family and all of his friends in the East Fork community. He loved woodworking and gardening and always found a way to keep himself busy. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter; Debbie Kessler, one son; Earl Park and one brother; Everett Sparks.

Carl is survived by his wife of fifty-five years; Sadie Henderson Sparks, one son; Mike Sparks and two daughters; Lynn Park and Rita Sparks. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren, one sister; Sharon Plant and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 3:00 pm at East Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Burrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
