Obituary of James Odell Stiwinter

Jim Stiwinter, age 72, of Cullowhee, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Willean Stiwinter and the son of the late Odell and Baye Stiwinter. 

He was a member of Cashiers Church of God. He was retired from Duke Power Energy and loved to fish and hunt deer and bear. Jim dearly loved his family. 

Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years; Willean Stiwinter, one daughter; Melissa Stiwinter and one son; Jamie (Katie) Stiwinter. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Michael (Dora), Jessie, Dylan, Chloe and Paige and two great grandchildren; Kaylie and Alivia. One brother; Roger (Phyllis) Stiwinter and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 3:30 pm at the Cashiers Church of God with Revs. Ricky Potts, Robert Harrison and David Hall III. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 1:30 until 3:30 pm at the church.
