Obituary of Armella Rita Cygan
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Armella (Mel) Rita Cygan, a loving and devoted mother, Nana, Great-Nana, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on November 29, 2019.
She left us while surrounded by her family in Glenville, NC after a long fight with metastatic breast cancer. She was in her 91st year.
She was the beloved mother of Kimberley Beyer (Allen), proud Nana of Nikki, Christopher, and Ashley, and cherished Great-Nana to Charlotte. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 68 years, Stanley.
Mel was always full of life, a strong woman, and wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything. Everyone always knew where you stood with her.
Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her family strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
