I have so many memories of Miss Deanna - sitting knitting while she taught class across form my class. She kept a reallll watchful eye on me! One time she was so frustrated with me that she said I had diarrhea of the mouth!!! I laughed so hard! Everyone was rolling...I still to this day tell people I have had a problem talking too much and Miss D told me so! Oh her laugh...I loved Miss Deanna's smile. And her tenacity. And her heart. What an amazing heart - she gave to everyone she know, she challenged everyone around her. She was a true walking example of Christ love and gift of life. I regret having lost touch with her over the years as I am no longer in Sylva; but I can ASSURE you one thing...Deanna has never left my heart. The lessons I learned from her are with me every single day. Deanna helped to shape my life in such a positive way. As I picked up knitting again recently I couldn't help but think, man...I wish I could show Miss D I finally learned how!!! Somehow, I think she knows. This is one life that was changed because of her service and sacrifice to God. Thank you for giving to the Lord, I am a life that was changed.
