Henry was a wonderful classmate and the finest banjo picker this side of the Mississippi River. It seems like only yesterday that squirrel hunted after school. I marveled and envied his musical genius. My sympathy to the family.

I learned about my mom’s love of music when we would visit her mountain home in North Carolina, so many summers ago. Seeing her siblings sing and play always fascinated me. Henry though was a true virtuoso! He was so passionate and determined to play every single note perfectly. A true artist. I am so thankful to have been present and experience that kind of musical mastery, but mostly I amthankful to have called him my uncle. RIP uncle Henry ♥️

The passing of Henry is difficult to fathom. He was special...there can be no other to replace him and his talents. We have lost a "traditional" treasure. Please know we are all grieving with you!
