Obituary of Linda Daves Proctor

Linda Proctor, age 62, of Sylva died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Med West Harris of Sylva, NC. Mrs. Proctor was born January 9, 1950 in Jackson County. She is the daughter of the late Troy and Ivey (Painter) Daves. She was predeceased by her father, Troy Daves. She was employed by Stanberry Insurance in Sylva. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Charlie Proctor; her mother, Ivey Daves; a son, Russell and wife, Paula Proctor of Duffield, VA; a daughter, Amiee Proctor of Sylva; and two grandchildren, Anna Grace and Taylor Proctor. The funeral will be held at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva on Wednesday, October 3, at 7:00 pm, with the Reverends Earl Holden and Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 before the service. Burial will be in Locust Field Cemetery, Sylva in Thursday, Oct. 4, at 11:00 am.
