This was my Uncle Jeepy! I'm so sorry to find out he is gone. I've always loved him and the rest of my family! I haven't seen you too often over the years but I have such wonderful memories growing up. I will always remember. Aunt Kathleen, Mark, and Kim I know what a difficult time you are going through now but we know we will see them all again. I can't wait to hear them singing in heaven.

I was a young baseball player in Sylva when I first met "Jeep". He took me under his wing and told me I had a good curve ball but if I would listen and learn he would teach me a great curve ball. I listened to his directions on how to throw that curve ball and I took it all the way to Williamsport Penn. I threw it perfect in the game I will always remember and give thanks to the person who taught it to me. I passed it on to my son Tripp Maney and he carried that curve all the way to a baseball scholarship to Mars Hill. The ref told Tripp he had never seen a ball break and curve that much. I was telling Josh Ray about Jeep today and he told me Tripp taught him that curve when he was 13 years old in Little League and he said Tripp told him his dad taught the curve to him and his dad gave the credit to Jeep. Amazing how the talent of one man has carried on thru the years too so many. Thank You Jeep for taking the time to help a young man that I was at 12 learn the baseball curve. Johnny Maney
