Obituary of Donna Kaye McCall

Donna Rathbone McCall, 72, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday May 27, 2020 while her family stood by her bedside and held her hand. Donna had a beautiful life with her husband Sid C. McCall for 48 wonderful years. Donna was the child of deceased parents, Dale Rathbone and Frankie Guy Rathbone. Donna was a member of Balsam Baptist Church and loved her Church Family. Donna loved flowers, gardening and reading books. Watching the wildlife around her home was such a joy to her. She loved making people laugh and loved to care for others. In addition to parents Donna is preceded in death by 2-brothers. She is survived by 1-sister. Donna had two jewels in her eyes: her daughter Amy McCall Burris and her grandson Spencer Rogers. Both have spouses (Ed and Savannah) that were in love with Donna as well. The love of her life, Sid C. McCall awaits his reunion with her and with the Lord sometime in the future. Willy her fur boy was a loyal companion and made every step she did. MEMORIAL SERVICES for Donna will be held at Balsam Baptist Church, June 7th at 2:00. A causal gathering to celebrate this beautiful soul. The McCall family would prefer in lieu of flowers to make an offering to Balsam Baptist Church (105 Heavenly Dr Balsam, NC 28779).
