Obituary of James Galloway

James, “Jim” Galloway, age 83, of Little Canada passed away on June 3, 2020. He was the husband of the late Oma Mathis Galloway and the son of the late Fred and Ruth Owen Galloway. He was a member of Cedar Cliff Baptist Church and was retired from the logging industry. He loved to fish and spend time with his three great grandsons. Most of all, Jim loved to go to work with his son and grandson. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Jim is survived by one son; Jimmy (Carlene) Galloway, one grandson; David (Kaileigh) Galloway and one granddaughter; Dana (Brandon) Palmer. He is also survived by three wonderful great grandsons; Branson, Raylon and Brenlin, along with one brother and one sister and a special friend; Evelyn. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Bryson and Rev. Herman Mathis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in the Mathis Cemetery.
