Obituary of Jack M. Hoyle

Jack M. Hoyle, age 58, of Sylva, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Debbie Styles Hoyle and the son of the late Lloyd and Geraldine Hoyle.

Jack was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He loved his church and served as a choir director, a deacon, and a Sunday School superintendent. He retired after 40 years of service to Western Carolina University as a maintenance supervisor in the facilities management department as a floor supervisor. Jack loved small engine repair and he dearly loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers; Lloyd Hensley Hoyle Jr. and Samuel Lucius Hoyle, one sister-in-law; Tammy Hoyle, one niece; Leslie Hoyle, and his father-in-law; Vance Styles.

Jack is survived by his wife of 31 years; Debbie Hoyle, one daughter; Jessica (Tyler) Thomasson, one sister; April (Chuck) Cocke, and one brother-in-law; David (Tammy) Styles. He is also survived by his mother-in-law; Frances Styles, two nephews; John-David and Blake Styles whom he loved as his own sons, along with several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Rev. Roger Stewman, Rev. Eddie Stillwell, and Rev. Lee Brooks will officiate. Burial will follow in the Henry Cogdill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
