Obituary of Pearl Dean Cogdill

Pearl Cogdill 57 of the Whittier community passed away on Sunday July 5th. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Joann Patterson Cogdill.

She is survived by her sister, Ceretta and her husband, Johnny Ray Davis. Also surviving are two nieces; Jessica Steele (Harry Steele) and Stephanie Davis (Dustin Ashe); and a nephew by marriage, Bradford Burns.

Also surviving are six great nieces and nephews; Trinity Steele, Tanner Burns (Allison Bates), Braxton Burns (Samantha James), Olivia Steele (Taylor Mills), Timothy Burns and Shelbee Joann Burns.

Two great-great nieces, Hadleigh Mathis and Braelynn Mathis; and three special nieces,Keri Davis Smith,  Addison and Kylie Morgan; and several aunts and uncles, also survive; as well as her best friend, Angie Bryson Gassaway.

Pearl had worked at Roses for the past twenty-four years. "Thank you, she loved you all". She also loved her church family at Wilmot Baptist Church and her cats and dogs.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 2:00 p.m. at Wilmot Baptist Church with Rev. Lanny Nations and Rev. Johnny Ray Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow in Nations Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harry Steele, Braxton Burns,Taylor Mills, Brad Burns, Tanner Burns and Tim Burns.
