Dear family...I unfortunately did not hear of Tom's passing until I just happened across his obituary this morning. I am so sorry to hear this. It has been a few weeks now and you may not see this but I wanted to express my condolences. I knew Tom for years from WCU, I worked in Purchasing in the "White House" and we would see each other frequently. I too left Western after several years to pursue a real estate appraisal career so Tom and I would see each other occasionally when I would appraise a transaction he was involved with. He was always so nice and polite and it was always such a pleasure to get to "catch up" and talk, although it was usually brief. I am so sorry for your loss. I know you miss Tom. He would speak so highly of his family every time I saw him and I could feel the pride and love he had for all of you. May God bless and comfort you! ~Suzanne Hyde
