Obituary of John Alexander Frizzell

John Alexander Frizzell, born December 28, 1934, unexpectedly passed away July 21, 2020. He was 85 years old.

John served four years in the US Navy. He retired from Dayco after 34 years. He loved the outdoors, bee keeping, bear hunting, and fishing.

He leaves behind his wife of 62 years; Kathleen Frizzell, one daughter; Kathy Frizzell of Sylva, NC, and one son; Mark (Stephanie) Frizzell of South Carolina. He is also survived by one sister; Hathleen Norman of Sylva, NC, one brother; RL (Francis) Frizzell of Blairsville, GA, one grandson; Alex Frizzell, and many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Appalachian Funeral Services of Sylva, NC with Rev. Earl Holden officiating. Burial will follow in the Addie Cemetery. Th family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:30 pm at the funeral home.
