Obituary of Bobby Joe Revis

Bobby Joe Revis, 84, of Whittier, passed away Sunday morning, August 9, 2020. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Jewel and Gertrude Revis. Bobby Joe enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and watching wrestling but the loves of his life were his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A very caring man, he never met a stranger. He retired from Jackson Paper and had worked part-time at the Cullowhee Recycle Center. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by sisters; Mary, Stella, Carolyn and Cindy. 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mary Ellen

Sons- Mike (Donna) Revis, Randall (Tina) Revis

Grandchildren- Jake, Kayla, Amy and Mandy

Great Grandchildren- Jackson, Brinley, Easton Banks, Leyton Grasty and Blayke Tessin

Brothers- G.W., Claude and James

Sisters- Sara, Peggy and Nancy

A Graveside Service will be held 12:30 pm Wednesday August 12, 2020 at Bumgarner Cemetery in Whittier. Bobby Joe will lie in State at Appalachian Funeral Services from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm prior to the Graveside for those who wish to pay their respects.
