Obituary of Ruby Lucile Dills

Ruby Lucile Dills, 94 years old, claimed her Angel Wings and flew home on August 8th, 2020. Ruby passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 10, 1925 to the late Henry Massey and Maude Payne Massey. Ruby was a life long resident of Jackson County and loved spending time with her family and friends. The bigger the crowd, the better. She loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and gardening.

Ruby is survived by two granddaughters, Carolyn Anders and Angela Anders (Roger Cabe); four great grandchildren, Jamie Scott (Amanda), Mandy Scott, Charlie Conner (Melissa) and Ben Conner, all of Sylva. Also surviving are five great-great grandchildren; Alex Scott, Kayli Conner, Parker Henson, Keestyn Henson, and Waylon Conner; extended family, Martha Melton (Billy) and Amanda Conner (David Broom) all of Sylva. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Dills, one daughter, Janie Dills, and one great-great granddaughter, Mina Scott.
