Keith, Mickey, Freda and Peggy: James, my son, wanted me to give you a message. This is it:
This is James Thompson, Ruth and Bill's son. I sat lots of days in church beside your dad because he sat on the same pew as I did. I also helped roll him in and out of church. I am living and work in Dodge City, Kansas and I was not able to come home for the funeral. I just want to tell you all that Robert Lee loved the Lord with his whole heart. He always told me this and he also told me that he wanted to go Home to be with Jesus. Well, he is there now and is rejoicing with Jesus. I would have liked to have been there and been one of the guys that were his pall bearer. It would have been an honor to me to have done that last thing with his body because I know where his soul it at.
He loved Jesus with his whole heart and he told me this. I know he is where he wished to be and is rejoicing. Robert Lee meant a whole lot to me. James Thompson
