Obituary of Gene Gilbert Bledsoe

Gene Gilbert Bledsoe, age 78 of Tuckasegee, NC. passed away Monday, August 31, 2020.   He was born on December 13, 1941 in Randolph County, Alabama to the late Leon and Nannie (Moat) Bledsoe.

Gene was a big man with a big heart.  He had a genuine, good-natured sense of humor.  He was known for preaching the Good Word throughout the South, and internationally in Canada, Mexico, and India. Gene was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Joyce (Williamson); sons, Robby Gene, Ricky Gene (Darlene), Randy Lee (Carolyn); sister, Nonnie Ruth Bledsoe; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven sisters.

The family will receive friends at their home, where Gene will lie in State, beginning 12:00PM, Wednesday, September 2, 2020, until Friday, September 4, 2020.  (11390 NC Hwy 107, Tuckasegee).  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, at Community Church of God, Tuckasegee. Reverend Doc Luker, officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
