Obituary of Ronney Eugene Jones

Ronney Eugene Jones, age 72 of Sylva, was welcomed into his Heavenly home on the night of September 4, 2020.  He was born in Jackson County, May 4, 1948, to the late Robert and Hester (Messer) Jones.

He enjoyed being outside under a shade tree, being with family, and he absolutely loved deer hunting.  His passing will allow many deer to sleep soundly.

Ronney was a loving husband, daddy, papaw, friend, and so many other wonderful titles to those who had the pleasure to know him.  We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.

He leaves behind his loving wife of over 51 years, Audrey Sue (Buchanan) Jones; daughter, Crystal Gail Jones (Shannon Heath Queen); granddaughter, Lilly Grace Fox; step-grandchildren, Britney Queen, Clennan Queen, Heath Queen; sisters, Doreen Mayes (Wayne), Roy Lee Knight (Wayne), Janie Franklin (Charlie); brothers, Marshall Jones (Elaine), Casey Jones (Jeanette), Buddy Jones (Mildred), Michael Jones; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will miss him greatly.

A Graveside Service for Ronney will take place at 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Greens Creek Cemetery, Sylva. Reverend Charles Dean, officiating.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva.
