Obituary of Oliver Dale Davis

Oliver “Dale” Davis, age 62 of Sylva, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020.   He was born on May 6, 1958, in Bryson City, NC to the late Dean Dexter and Sarah Lee (Allen) Davis.

Dale worked at Harris Regional Hospital for 30 years before retiring.  He was a hard worker who loved his job, making model cars, and spending time with his family. 

Dale will be dearly missed by his siblings, Brenda Owen, Jackie (Phyllis) Davis, many nieces and nephews, and his dog, Girl. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Annie Davis (Oscar) Burgess; brother, C.D. Davis; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Owen.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-2:00PM, Wednesday, September 16, at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva, with a Funeral Service at 2:00PM.  Interment will follow at New Hope Church Cemetery.
