Obituary of Shawn Bubacz

The Bubacz Family regretfully announces the passing of our beloved Shawn on Friday, October 23rd while asleep in his home in Cullowhee, NC. He was 48. Shawn was passionate about firefighting and service to the community. He loved grilling and cooking, mountain living, animals and especially housecats. He was a great lover of cake. Shawn's wry wit was notorious but often entertaining and the closest of Shawn's friends recall nights watching movies with drink in hand. Family remembers Shawn's contributions to spirited discourse at holidays.

Shawn was born in Miami, Florida to Mother and Father Joyce and Frank Bubacz, both late,  of Franklin, NC. 

Shawn was a dedicated Father to his only Daughter, Shawna who resides in Denver, NC; and is survived by his Brother David and wife Dulce of Cary, NC; Brother, John, of Sylva; Sister, Tawn, of Clyde, NC and Brother, Shannon, of Asheville. Also surviving are niece, Laura and nephews Christopher, Kevin, Dylan and Deacon. 

Memorial services will be Sunday, November eighth at a time and location to be announced.
