Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Garland

Mary Williams Garland, 89, of Waynesville, formerly of Sylva, passed away Sunday November 15, 2020. Born and raised in Jackson County, Mary was the daughter of the late Robert and Ada Leatherman Williams. Mary loved word search puzzles and had a large collection of cows and salt and pepper shakers. She would enjoy doing her Hearts for Seniors, corresponding with cards and letters to the elderly of her community. She was a member of the Church of Christ and loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph and her siblings; Carl, Walter, Arthur and Marie Williams. 

She is survived by her children; daughter Linda Garland of Fayetteville, Arkansas

Sons Jim (Charlene) Garland of Brevard, Bob Garland of Waynesville and Kenn Garland of Simpsonville, SC

9 Grandchildren. 14 Great Grandchildren

and her Sister-in-law, Peg Williams from Conroe, TX also survives
