Obituary of J.C. Cagle
J.C. "Pajay" Cagle, 72, of Sylva, passed away peacefully Monday evening November 23, 2020 after complications from a heart disorder.
A native of Jackson County he was the son of the late Carmel and Almarie Cagle.
After retiring in 2009 in Oklahoma, J.C. returned to the family and mountains he loved so much in Western North Carolina. He loved spending time with his family at Fontana Lake and enjoyed taking truck rides with his buddy Max. A father figure to many, he was a very loved man by his family and friends, he always had an encouraging word or a joke for everyone who knew the "Renaissance Man". It was said that every family needs a Pajay !
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers; Terrell, Genten and Terry Lee, and his sisters; June Clarce and Judy Magdeline
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Carolyn Brooks Cagle
His son- Brian (Shawn) Cagle of Waynesville
Granddaughter- Lydia (Chad) Christopher of Fort Benning, GA
Grandson- Luke Cagle of Waynesville
A Memorial Service to celebrate J.C.'s life will be held at a future date in December.
