Obituary of Carroll Tatham
James Carroll Tatham, age 86, of Sylva passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020. He was the son of the late Ralph Tatham and Eula McLean. He was married to his wife Pat for 36 years.
He is survived by his wife Patricia G. Tatham and two stepchildren; Richard (Dickie) Caldwell and wife Jennifer and Kim Caldwell Gibson and husband Vaughn.
He is also survived by three grandsons; Chad Caldwell, Brad Caldwell, and Tyler Caldwell and wife Thersia and two granddaughters; Jaderian Ackerman Gibson and husband Rob and Wyndsor Caldwell.
He was happy for a great grandchild expected to be born in April. He was also privileged to have a special nurse; Amber Bush.
He was a member of Wesleyanna United Methodist Church. He was retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation and was the Co-owner of Tathams Mountain Retirement Park. Carroll enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. You could always see Carroll on the lawn mower or his golf cart if you lived or visited the Park. He enjoyed feeding the turkeys and keeping the Retirement Park well maintained.
A memorial service will be held at Wesleyanna United Methodist Church at a later date.
