Dorcas Edder Brown

Mrs. Dorcas E. Brown, age 98, of Sylva, passed away December 19, 2020. Dorcas was born in Dillsboro to the late Samuel Carl Ballew and Ella Mason Ballew, and she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Brown and her six sisters. A loving and generous mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Ella Worley, of Tuckasegee; sons, Jerry Brown, of Asheville, Avery Brown of Green's Creek, Ken Brown, of Sylva; 8 grandchildren, Gabe Brown, Erica Tingen, Robert Reed, Trevor Brown, Lindsey Reed, Michael Robinson, Larry Brown Gonzalez, John A. Brown; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Service arrangements will be announced at a later date.
